Q 1. Hello Umang Gupta, first of all we would like to congratulate you on becoming the 3rd rank holder in CS Executive. A 1…Thank you! Q 2. How are you feeling now? It feels incredible and really satisfying that months of preparation, efforts, hard work and sacrifices being rewarded. But getting a rank in top 3 was way beyond my wildest dreams…More than anything the feeling of seeing the word PASS written in front of your name cannot be described in words…The smile on my parents face was worthy of all the toil and efforts. Q 4. Did you inform your parents on phone? My dad was the one who informed me on phone…My mom had tears of joy in her eyes at this wonderful news… Q 5 . In this whole journey, who inspired you and whom would you like to thank and make a special mention? My cousin sister Anusha Goyal, IPCC may 2015 AIR 24 and CA CPT June 2014 AIR 6 used to guide me on what to study how to study, when to study and used to constantly motivate me through all the ups and downs…She emphasised on NOT skipping any chapter and attempting full 100 marks paper in exam and I think that’s what mattered at the end of the day….My parents who are also CA taught me accounts and taxation… Q 6. And who helped you in your studies whom you look forward to. My parents, friends and teachers with their unconditional love and support are the ones behind my success…Coaching classes helps you in staying regular in studies but at the end of the stay SELF STUDY is what really matters…Studying only the Institute Study Material and Practice Manual are good enough to excel in professional exams.. Q 7. Do you CAknowledge.in Site, How CAknowledge Site Help you? YES…The notes at CA Knowledge.in were very useful and helpful…And the interviews of toppers are really a source of inspiration for me and the entire CA community…The articles on current affairs are also very useful as aspiring to be a CA, it is very important to stay abreast of all the latest happenings in the corporate world…CA Knowledge.in brings together the members and aspiring students and helps in clarification of various issues.. Q 8. What was your study pattern / strategy that you followed for CS Executive that you would like to share with your fellow members? A8…I studied one theory and one practical subject which ensured that I didn’t feel burdened and bored…I feel studying during the morning hours is really productive as compared to studying late at night. Having good writing practice and solving mock tests also helps a lot…Small things like writing answers in paragraphs and highlighting key words makes a huge difference in exams…. Q 9. You might have seen stress among your peers and friends. So, what did you do to cope up with that stress? I believe some level of stress is necessary lest you should become casual. …I feel that competing with yourself instead of competing with OTHERS is the key….It’s all about self-improvement and how you can become a better person that really matters…You should just stay in the present and not keep on thinking about the outcome of the exam…I used to meditate half an hour everyday which indeed helps in today’s stressful life…Playing with my younger brother Aman and talking to friends also helped in coping with stress… Q 10. What would be your message for your juniors and your fellow members? You might come across some really depressing facts and figures about pass percentages…The key is to stay positive and motivated at all times….and please avoid Procrastination…The portion is vast and things will get really stressful in the last 3-4 months if you keep on postponing studies during the initial stages…
